The manuscript for my second book is being proofed as I am writing this. The book is an encyclopedia describing the different types of scams which are currently cycling. You need to have one of these book placed near your phone and your computer to remind you not to get drawn into giving out your private information and/or buying something just because a stranger recommends it. Best advice, if you don’t recognize the number calling, don’t answer the call.

Recently this book has won ten book awards: Another Silver Award-Winner in the The Literary Titan Book Award. Others include the Chanticleer Book Award, and the Feathered Quill Book Award.

Held on Wednesday, Jan. 19, at 4:00 pm, Successful! Lori and Caitlyn had decorated a table display of my books and business cards and a membership certificate. What a nice surprise! The chocolate toffee candies were scrumptious. Thank you. I really appreciate how nice everything looked. Your questions put me in a comfortable spot and I hope I answered them well. I already booked a Meet the Author presentation for this Friday, Jan. 28 th at the Vista Grand Villa Retirement Living in Jackson, MI.

Last week I received notice that Learning to Dance in the Rain II recently won awards for Honorable Mention at the Southern California Book Festival and the New England Book Festival. These are the sixth and seventh awards for my book. I thank everyone for these honors who was involved in the decision-making.

“Learning to Dance in the Rain II” received an award for being a Finalist in the Book of the Year Contest Sponsored by Speak Talk Radio and Shelby will present her book to their radio audience on December 7, 2021, at 11:00 am. Their mantra is “Speak Up–your words can change the world. You never know how your words affect those you may never meet.”

On December 1, 2021, Learning to Dance in the Rain II received the Winner Award of Honorable Mention in the Royal 2021 Dragonfly Book Contest category: Inspirational.
